While accurate, biometric systems require expensive hardware (PKR 15,000-50,000 per device) and ongoing maintenance. For most Pakistani primary schools, digital attendance via a smartphone app (like PakEducate) provides the same time savings at a fraction of the cost — no hardware needed.
